The database management program contains three fundamental paths:

• The database viewing path. The selection of any fragment of the database which may then be displayed on the screen (in the form of a table or a graph), printed on paper or moved to another Windows application.
• The database searching path. This module allows the user to obtain a list of territorial entities, viz. cities/communities (gminas)/counties (powiats)/provinces which meet user-defined criteria. The criteria may be imposed upon any variables or indicators that have been calculated in the module for the statistical analysis of data.
• The database statistical analysis path. An estimate of the basic indices (calculating the values of variables against population, surface area, etc.) aggregation of the values of variables and indices for selected communities (gminas)/cities/voivodships, an estimate of the fundamental statistical measures of structure (average, measure of dispersion, etc.) and rate of growth (average rate of growth, indexes, etc.) for selected communes/cities/provinces.
